About me

Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor of Mathematical Sciences at Clemson University. My research interests lie in computational mathematics in general, and numerical linear algebra in particular, primarily including development and analysis of iterative solvers for large-scale linear systems of equations, linear and nonlinear eigenvalue problems. The research has been quickly expanding recently. I am also enthusiastic in teaching courses in computational math. Please see the pages of research, publications and software for more information.

I was born in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China. I obtained Bachelor and Master degrees in Computer Science and Engineering at Southeast University, China, and Ph.D in 2009 in the Applied Mathematics and Scientific Computation (AMSC) program at University of Maryland College Park (advised by Professor Howard Elman). My mathematical lineage is here.

I can be most conveniently found by email fxue _at_ clemson.edu, or by mailing address and phone
